7/27/16 LEADERS: Webinar, Announcements, Early Bird Deadline

August 22, 2016
CESE Summit

Topic: Issue-Focused Grassroots Activism: Turning Ideas into Action
Date: Thursday, July 28th at 3pm Eastern / Noon Pacific

Hosted by Jared Reni, Leadership Institute, and Dawn Hawkins, National Center on Sexual Exploitation
We will discuss how issue-focused activists can get involved and make a difference in your community through interaction with elected officials, local elections, as well as the non-profit and private sector. This training gives you the nuts and bolts tools needed to hold community leaders accountable. Dawn Hawkins will provide insight on how NCOSE has successfully lobbied for policy change on corporate and political levels focused on anti-pornography issues. Attend this class and learn what it takes to make your voice heard.
Note that the Leadership Institute’s mission is to train conservative leaders. They recognize that the issue of combatting sexual exploitation is not a partisan issue and have joined CESE, offering their services in training all leaders working on these issues with techniques and tips to improve their effectiveness in this work.

  • NCOSE: We got Hilton Worldwide to cancel a big porn expo next month in Houston. Details here. You are the first to hear the second victory in this fight! IHG just canceled the expo’s backup plan too and is now not letting them host it at their Holiday Inn locations either.  Announcing this to the press in a couple of hours!
  • Facebook Live & Donations: We did our first Facebook Live video and have 44,000 views already. I wrote down these instructions for how to set up on your page too. CLICK HERE
  • Call for Papers: The Dignity journal is an interdisciplinary forum for research, discussion, and analysis on how sexual exploitation, violence, and slavery harm the dignity and health of individuals and the integrity and security of communities. CLICK HERE
